Demand-orientated support

Visiting services, flexible short-term care in Graz/Graz area and day care for senior citizens

Flexible short-term care in Graz/Graz area

Day care only can be used for demand-orientated support or as a gentle introduction to 24-hour care. For people of all care levels who do not need or want care at night, for example if night care is provided by relatives living in the same household or if there is no separate room for carers.

Flexible short-term care in Graz/Graz area

Cura Domo

As a service provider, Cura Domo supports families throughout Austria in caring for relatives at home and also offers day care.

Visiting services

BücherBot:innen, Graz City Library (voluntary)

Volunteers from the City Library regularly bring books, magazines or films to the homes of older people or people with limited mobility and have time to read aloud or have a cosy chat.

Visiting and escort service, Red Cross (voluntary)

The visiting service is there for people who are either alone and lonely or whose carers need support. The visiting service regularly comes to people's homes or nursing homes.

Escort service from hospital to home, Caritas (voluntary, temporary)

This service does not replace mobile care or permanent care, but serves to bridge the initial period after hospitalisation. Volunteer carers are available in the Graz area, in Grambach, Fernitz, Kalsdorf and Gratkorn as well as in parts of the Weiz district and in the Fürstenfeld and Feldbach areas to provide "accompaniment from hospital to home".

Personal assistance for senior citizens

alpha nova

Provides personal assistance for senior citizens to enable them to enjoy everyday life and help them to organise their lives as they wish: from companionship and household support to communication with authorities.

Day care

Day care of the sbz (Sozial- und Begegnungszentren)

The sbz day care service is intended as an additional service to outpatient care services, 24-hour care and home nursing care. People in need of help are looked after by qualified carers during the day, and relatives are to be noticeably relieved by this hourly service between 6 am and 10 pm.
