The “Kinderspaß” and “Ferienspaß” childcare programmes on campus are designed to support parents’ work-life balance. This sets them apart from programmes with specific focuses, such as sport, educational activities or other themes. The activities planned are tailored to the size of the group, the children’s ages and the weather. It caters to the children’s needs and offers adventurous, relaxing and creative activities on the premises, as well as, of course, excursions around the campus.
The Family Service offers parents peace of mind regarding childcare, enabling them to plan for the various school holiday weeks well in advance. If you do not require childcare during certain weeks, you can cancel easily.
Please understand that we set specific deadlines and payment terms so that we can prepare the childcare services in good time and to a high standard.
Once you have registered your details on the requirements list, you can be assured of childcare, and we can contact you at the appropriate time.
The "Kids Fun on Campus" series offers childcare during various school-free times on the University of Graz campus.
The programme is based on the size of the group, the age of the children and the weather. It is tailored to the children's needs and offers indoor and outdoor activities, adventurous and recreational activities, field trips, workshops.
When? 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with lunch
Where? Campus of the University of Graz, meeting point Kids' Room in the main library
For whom? Children from 6 to 10 years
Costs? 100€ per child and holiday programme for Uni Graz, KUG, JR, FHJ
External children can participate for €200 per child and programme subject to availability, please contact us for further details.

Childcare places are reserved according to the data you provided in the demand survey.
You will receive the form for the binding enrolment 4 weeks before the start of childcare.
The registration deadline is 3 weeks before the start of childcare.
If the Kids Fun on Campus is taking place, short-term registrations may be accepted depending on space availability. Therefore, please send us an email.

Childcare for primary school children during the summer holidays
The holiday fun programme on campus is available to members of the University of Graz, the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, Joanneum Research and FH Joanneum without a registration deadline.
When?
| 9 weeks during the school summer holidays from 13th July to 11th September 2026, bookable on a weekly basis, Monday to Friday from 7.45 am to 4.15 pm |

Costs and cancellation?
| €200 per child per week Your place is confirmed once your payment has been received by 1st June. Cancellation is free of charge until 31st May; after that, a refund of the parental contribution is no longer possible. |
